Ardent Girls

Chicago reformer and Hull-House founder Jane Addams meets Russian rockstar writer and philosopher Leo Tolstoy in 1896 Russia. Sometimes idols can have feet of clay. A play about personal and social change. 4W, 2M. Featured on New Play Exchange.

Ardent Girls has had several developmental readings, the last being at New Hampshire Theatre Project in Sept, 2019.

Sometimes being a witness isn't enough. A play about the 2007 shooting in Nisour Square, Baghdad and its effect on a marriage in the US two years later. 3W, 2M. Featured on New Play Exchange.

This play has had numerous readings: Fort Point Theatre, NH Theatre Project, HERE Arts (NYC) and Brandeis University. The most recent reading was a featured event of the 2017 Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Arts at Brandeis.

The Pulse Project, by Sherry Bokser, Thom Fogarty, Alyson Mead and Amy Merrill

A full-length play, comprised of monologues inspired by people who died in, lived through, and are moving on from the June 12, 2016 Pulse Nightclub shootings in Orlando, FL.

The play was read, Sept 13, 2017 in Chicago, as part of Steppenwolf Theatre's Lookout Series. Check website for future events.

Shoe LEather Epidemiology

A ten-page play about Alice Hamilton and her pioneering work on lead poisoning. Beginning in early 1900s, Alice travels through time from Chicago to Leadville, CO to Flint Mi. Written in a living newspaper style. Shoe Leather Epidemiology will stream of April 15-18, 2021 at the Women and Theatre Festival at Central Square Theater.
